Major Characters : Ms.Emma, Tante Lou, Grant, Jefferson & Vivian
Point of View : 1st point of view because Grant was there the whole time, its about him the whole story time; his life & responsibilities.
Setting : In Louisiana in the 1940's
Tone : Depressed/ Feed Up
Irony : Before Jefferson was sent to jail, Grant knew that he was going to jail anyways.
Symbols : Walking through the backdoor meant that colored people weren't worth walking through the front-door & when Jefferson was called a hog, that infers that colored people were not as important as the whites.
Theme : The theme of Jefferson going to jail when he didn't do anything is a theme that " Life could sometimes be unfair".
